"The Loss of Innocence for Small Molecule Ligands"

Abstract
When redox-active ligands are acting "non-innocently", the metal oxidation
state may not be unequivocally defined. There are diatomic and triatomic
non-innocent ligands of which the NO, CN, and NO2 series will be
particularly discussed.
