Invitamos a la tercera charla del SeMyA (Seminario Matemáticas y
Aplicaciones - UNGS) titulada:

"Modelling of the Actin cytoskeleton and of  friction effects caused by 
protein linkages.",

a cargo del Dr. Dietmar Ölz (Johann Radon Insitute on Computational and 
Applied Mathematics, Linz/Vienna, Austria).
La charla se llevará a cabo el martes 28/09 a las 14:00 hs., aula 2008, 
en el campus de la Univ. de Gral Sarmiento (San Miguel, Bs. As.). Si

Resumen.
I will start by giving an overview on a recent modelling effort 
concerning the lamellipodial Actin-cytoskeleton and on simulation and 
analytic results.
Then I will concentrate on the mechanical description of protein 
linkages, where I also will mention analytic results that concern the 
interpretation of the model for protein linkages.
Finally I will compare two different scaling aproaches that apply to 
either cross-linking proteins or adhesion complexes. The results are 
macroscopic, possibly nonlinear, friction coefficients.
