supramolecular podría ser definida como “La Química más allá de la
molécula”. Consiste en un área de la química que se enfoca en la
organización de entidades de alta complejidad, que resultan de la asociación
entre dos o más especies químicas mantenidas juntas por fuerzas
intermoleculares de distinta naturaleza: (i) puentes de hidrógeno; (ii)
interacciones no covalentes; y (iii) uniones fuertes direccionadas
metal-ligando.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

abarcan cada una de las áreas antes mencionadas. Una jaula supramolecular
