la última Feria del Libro realizada en Buenos Aires, el
investigador principal del CONICET <strong>Andrés Carrasco
debía presentar una charla acerca de</strong> <strong>los efectos
nocivos del glifosato sobre embriones de vertebrados</strong>. Este
herbicida es con el que se fumigan los campos de nuestro país, a
partir de la implementación del modelo de agronegocios que
rige<span style=""> </span>desde hace dos décadas. Sin
embargo, <strong>unos días antes de concretarse el evento, le fue
notificado al investigador que su presentación había sido
cancelada</strong>. Si bien no le fue comunicado el motivo, dicha
suspensión parece relacionarse de manera directa con la denuncia de
una problemática, en la que se entrecruzan intereses
económicos y políticos. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 35.4pt;"
class="MsoNormal"><strong>Este evento de censura pone en evidencia un
aspecto fundamental: las relaciones que las instituciones generadoras de
conocimiento establecen con las empresas en nuestro país</strong>.
En una primera aproximación puede reconocerse que este problema no
es analizado de manera pública en nuestros ámbitos
académicos, y es “resuelto” en función de las
relaciones de poder que se establecen en la actualidad. De este modo, en
las últimas dos décadas, las diferentes instituciones
académicas de Argentina han consolidado relaciones fuertemente
asimétricas con empresas multinacionales que inciden negativamente
tanto sobre el campo social, así como sobre las propias
instituciones académicas. Numerosos ejemplos de esta
asimetría pueden mencionarse al respecto. En este sentido,
recordemos el caso de los fondos provenientes del emprendimiento minero
“Bajo La Alumbrera” aceptados por las autoridades de la
Universidad de Buenos Aires y en particular por las autoridades de la
Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales (FCEyN) el año pasado.
</p>
<p style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 35.4pt;" class="MsoNormal">Por
otro lado el intento de las autoridades de la FCEyN de avanzar con las
acreditaciones de carreras de grado y posgrado ante la <span
class="apple-style-span"><span style="color: black;">Comisión
Nacional de Evaluación y Acreditación
Universitaria</span></span> (CONEAU), recientemente rechazadas en dicha
facultad a partir de una masiva negativa expresada por la comunidad
académica, también expresa una política de poner a la
Universidad al servicio de los intereses del mercado y las grandes
empresas. Estos dos eventos, ejemplifican el <strong>modelo de
universidad</strong> que se viene consolidando, el que de manera imperiosa
<strong>debiera ser modificado a fin de generar justicia, libertad e
igualdad social, a la vez que propugnar por instituciones
académicas en las que predomine la pluralidad, la autonomía
y la visión crítica</strong>.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 35.4pt;" class="MsoNormal">En
este contexto, el próximo Miércoles 23 de junio a las 18
horas, se realizará una charla-debate en la FCEyN. En primera
instancia, Andrés Carrasco presentará un resumen de la
charla censurada, que oportunamente iba a ser presentada en la Feria del
Libro 2010. Posteriormente, Andrés Carrasco, conjuntamente con
otros panelistas, analizarán el estado actual de las relaciones
establecidas entre las instituciones académicas y los diferentes
tipos de empresas, analizando tanto los efectos sobre el campo social
así como también sobre nuestras instituciones
académicas. </p>
