genética completa del mismo codificada en moléculas de ADN dentro de su núcleo
celular. Sin embargo, en todo momento sólo una parte del genoma se transcribe en
forma de ARN mensajero y alcanza la maquinaria de traducción y producción de
proteínas ubicada en el citoplasma. El subconjunto de genes que efectivamente se
expresa depende de condiciones tales como: ambiente externo, etapas de
desarrollo, y<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>tipo celular.

a tecnologías de microchips de DNA, dispositivos que permiten relevar qué genes
están 'prendidos' y cuales no en determinadas
