<p style="LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><b><i><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; FONT-FAMILY: Arial">Las relaciones entre la ciencia y la sociedad resultaron ser mucho más complejas y dinámicas de lo que se creía. Incluso mucho, mucho más de lo que admiten la mayor parte de los científicos actuales y de lo que creemos los demás. Las preguntas centrales que animan este ciclo, y a las cuales seguramente no vamos a responder son: ¿para qué y a quién sirve la ciencia en países como el nuestro? ¿qué hacen los científicos por la sociedad? ¿Y la sociedad por la ciencia?

<p style="LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><b><i><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; FONT-FAMILY: Arial">Abordaremos esta complejidad desde cuatro ejes diferentes: la relación entre las llamadas ciencias sociales y las ciencias exactas y naturales; los conflictos entre ciencia, industria y sociedad, la utilidad del conocimiento y finalmente una autocrítica a las ciencias sociales y su rol.
