violation is one of the least well understood aspects of the </FONT></SPAN></P>

of particle physics. It is thought to play an important<BR>role in the matter /
anti-matter asymmetry observed in the universe today,<BR>which is itself one of
the biggest questions in cosmology.<BR>The BaBar experiment running at the
Stanfor Linear Accelerator Center was<BR>designed to study CP violation effects
with unprecedented precision. I<BR>will present the status of the experiment as
well as some of the<BR>most interesting
