ESTUDIO DE LA CAPACIDAD COMPLEJANTE DE UN CUERPO DE AGUA
NATURAL:<o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></P>

complejar o ligar que tienen los componentes de un cuerpo de agua natural puede
caracterizarse determinando no solo la cantidad de complejantes presentes en el
sistema y la afinidad que ellos poseen respecto a la sustancia que se compleja.
En este caso el estudio se centra en el complejamiento de metales pesados,
dentro de los cuales se eligieron los más tóxicos y de origen mayoritariamente
antropogénico, debido a su relevancia ambiental.<o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></P>

size=3>La evaluación de la capacidad de complejamiento permite inferir sobre la
posible distribución del contaminante (metal pesado) entre los complejantes del
sistema ante una descarga importante en el cuerpo de agua en
estudio.<o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></P>

align=justify><SPAN style="mso-ansi-language: ES"><o:p><FONT
size=3> </FONT></o:p></SPAN><SPAN style="mso-ansi-language: ES"><FONT
size=3>En este seminario se describirá la técnica utilizada para su
evaluación<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>y se mostrara la
aplicación de ella al estudio de la capacidad complejante en muestras extraídas
del Río de la Plata. Este estuario posee características que lo diferencian de
otros, como por ejemplo su baja salinidad, el fenómeno de sudestada y la gran
cantidad de material particulado.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</SPAN>La caracterización y evaluación de los parámetros de complejamiento del
material particulado y de las sustancias solubles, permitió conocer la
importancia de ellos en la capacidad complejante del sistema, así como la
influencia de las condiciones hidromareológicas. Los resultados de este estudio
pueden ser muy importantes para extrapolar su comportamiento hacia otros
sistemas que poseen gran cantidad de material
particulado.<o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></P>

size=3>Por último, se mostrarán algunos resultados de la competencia entre
ligandos antropogénicos y los ligandos naturales y la competencia entre dos
metales por los complejantes naturales.<o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></P>
