industrial de la estructura central de inhibidores de proteasa de
VIH<o:p></o:p></SPAN></B></P><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 14pt">
<P class=MsoBodyText2 style="MARGIN: 6pt -9pt 0pt 54pt"><SPAN
style="FONT-SIZE: 14pt">Los inhibidores de proteasa de VIH representan uno de
los mejores ejemplos de la aplicación del conocimiento científico al diseño
racional de drogas. La importancia de estos compuestos radica en que bloquean la
enzima, y dan lugar a la formación de copias defectuosas del VIH, incapaces de
infectar otras células.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>
<P class=MsoBodyText2 style="MARGIN: 6pt -9pt 0pt 54pt"><SPAN
style="FONT-SIZE: 14pt">En este seminario se describen algunas de las síntesis
utilizadas para la producción a escala industrial de las estructuras centrales
de 5 inhibidores de proteasa de VIH aprobados por <st1:PersonName
ProductID="la FDA" w:st="on">la FDA</st1:PersonName> hasta la
fecha.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>
<P class=MsoBodyText2 style="MARGIN: 6pt -9pt 0pt 54pt"><SPAN
style="FONT-SIZE: 14pt">Se mostrarán los procesos sintéticos que conducen a los
isómeros <I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">eritro</I> y <I
style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">treo</I> de 3-amino-1,2-epóxidos, destacando
en particular los logros alcanzados en la síntesis de halometilcetonas y su
reducción estereoselectiva.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>
