>Nuclear astrophysics is one of the important 
>fields for the understanding
>of the Cosmos. The large amount of energy stored 
>in the atomic nuclei is
>released through the nuclear reactions and plays 
>a very important role in
>the evolution of the Universe and in the energy 
>generation in stars.The
>existence of new isotopes out of the line of 
>stability (exotic-nuclei)
>may have consequences in the models of 
>nucleosynthesis of the Big Bang
>and in explosive stellar sites like supernovas. 
>Some aspects of this new
>exciting research area will be presented as well 
>as results obtained in
>the Radioactive Ion Beams (RIBRAS) facility in São Paulo, Brasil.
