Dear  Prof. Arrachea       ,

the Max Planck Institute for the Chemical Physics of Solids in Dresden
announces the opening of a postdoctoral position in theoretical
condensed matter
physics.
I would appreciate it if you could bring the announcement below to the attention
of suitable candidates.
Thank you for your help!

######################### Postdoc Announcement
###################################
The Max Planck Institute for the Chemical Physics of Solids announces
the opening of a
postdoctoral position in theoretical condensed matter physics.
The areas of interest include strongly correlated electronic and
magnetic systems,
both  in and out of equilibrium with an emphasis on systems close to
instabilities and the
description of novel phases of matter. Experience with numerical
methods is welcome.
The successful candidate will be able to interact with an active group
of experimental
physicists as well as with theoretically oriented researchers.
The Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids together with
the Max Planck
Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems, the Technical University
Dresden,the
High Magnetic Field Lab Dresden-Rossendorf and other research
facilities offer a very
stimulating enviroment.

Applicants should send a curriculum vita including a list of publications and a
statement of research interests and arrange for three letters of
reference to be sent to
kirchner en cpfs.mpg.de, or by postal mail
(to: Ms. Kratochwil; MPI-CPfS; Noethnitzer Str. 40; 01187 Dresden; Germany).

The Max Planck Institute aims to increase the number of women in
scientific positions.
Female candidates are therefore particularly encouraged to apply. In
case of equal
