Dear Colleague,

Enclosed, please find the announcement for the 2008 Evans  
Attwell-Welch Postdoctoral Fellowship at Rice University (notice the  
mid-summer, June 30th, 2008 deadline). We would appreciate that you  
circulate this information among any potential candidates. The  
successful candidate will be free to collaborate with any of the  
faculty members involved and/or to carry out independent work in the  
targeted areas.

Those interested in applying with our support are requested to send a  
CV, a research statement of up to three pages and one or two sample  
publications, and arrange for three letters of reference, sent to  
Barbara Braun, <bbraun en rice.edu>, with subject line "Evans Postdoc  
Search". Alternatively, the applications can be sent in hard copy to  
Evans Attwell-Welch Postdoc Search, c/o Barbara Braun, Department of  
Physics and Astronomy, Rice University - MS 61, Houston, TX 77005,  
USA. Candidates whose applications are complete by May 15th will  
receive our full consideration (we intend to support jointly a single  
candidate).
