Institute of Computational Cosmology, University of Durham, UK
Abstract: Hierarchical models tend to overproduce bright galaxies. I will
discuss different mechanisms to suppress the formation of galaxies in
massive haloes, highlighting some successes of the models and pointing out
where future work is needed.
