A Postdoc position in Theoretical Chemistry is available at the
University of Potsdam, Chemistry Department, in the group of
Professor Peter Saalfrank. Our group is working in the fields
of theoretical surface science, quantum dynamics, and theoretical
spectroscopy (see our webpage at http://www.chem.uni-potsdam.de/ags/
for more detailed information).

We invite applications of chemists and physicists
for a project

"High-dimensional Quantum Dynamics with Wave Functions with selected
Configurations".

This DFG-funded project aims at the description of reactions which
take place in contact with an environment, such as a surface or in
solution. Cooperation partners in Paris, France and Milan, Italy are
involved in the project, and there is the possibility to conduct part
of the work at the respective universities.

The successful candidates should have a good background in one
or more of the following areas: quantum mechanics, programming,
and theoretical chemistry. Salary is up to BAT IIa, the exact amount
depends on age and experience.
